Objectives

  • Increased partnership between the two City Committees.
  • A candidate for every City government position.

  • District level identifying, recruiting and training of candidates
  • Continue Team effort of running a full city government slate for each election

Deliverables

  • Qualified Republican candidates to challenge every seat, every election.
  • Identified, committed, active leadership team to assist each candidate.
  • Monthly voter registration organized by District Leaders and supported by the committees.
  • An evolving information piece on the City slate.
  • Fully trained, unified city slate running strong, viable, and credible races.

Goals

Short Term

One to three months (January to March 2008)
  • Identify, recruit, and engage city government candidates.
  • Develop a plan and schedule for on-going voter registration. (1 per month, 3 per District per year).
  • Publish a combined informational / introductory piece on the 2008 slate.
  • Identify leadership team to support the 2008 candidates.

Medium Term

Three to 12 months (April to December 2008)
  • Train, support, and run a candidate for every city government position available.
  • Register 1,000 new voters.
  • Have each committee member commit to adding at least one new person.
  • Organize two major fundraisers.

Long Term

13 to 23 months (January to November 2009)
  • Establish ourselves as a viable, vocal contributor to the dialogue concerning our community.
  • Contest any political position involving the City.
  • Plan strategically for any future city government seats.
  • Continue to be a viable voice and contributor to the Monroe County Republican Committee.
